Wall St surges on fall in crude price; Dow up 135 points

US market recovered from day’s low to end near days high in late trade prompted by fall in crude prices and continued strength in financial sector. Dow Jones ends up 135 points at 11602, recovered nearly 215 points from days low. Nasdaq ends up 24.4 points at 2304, recovered nearly 52 points from days low. Financials index gain nearly 6.5% after Wachovia indicates it does not plan to raise capital. Financial sector is now up 31.5% in the last week. Large-cap tech stocks were under pressure as hares of Apple and Texas Instruments fall on earnings outlook. The Dow advanced 135.16 points, or 1.18%, to 11,602.50. The Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 17 points or 1.35%, to 1,277.00. The Nasdaq composite index surged 24.43 points, or 1.07%, at 2,303.96. A look at how the Indian ADRs performed:
