Wall St ends with moderate loss; Dow dn 35 pts

US markets ended lower and stocks ended lower as a midday rally fizzled by the closing bell. Financials held onto modest gains. Dow & S&P 500 both ends down 0.3% each while Nasdaq loses 0.7%. Fed is going to announce its decision on interest rates today. Fed is expected to keep interest rates unchanged but talk tough on inflation. June consumer confidence is at 16-year low. Crude rises to $137/bbl, gold also advanced. Bond prices edge higher. Dollar was mixed against other major currencies. The Dow Jones lost 34.93 points, or 0.29%, to 11,807.43. The Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 3.71 points, or 0.28%, to 1,314.29, and the Nasdaq composite index declined 17.46 points, or 0.73%, to 2,368.28. A look at how the Indian ADRs performed:
