Wall St ends with moderate gain; Dow up 24 pts

Wall Street finally breathes a sigh of relief after jobless claims drop unexpectedly and crude retreats to $ 130. US markets rebounded after a two-day sell-off, led by financials as an unexpected drop in jobless claims and merger buzz charged the market. In economic news, jobless claims dropped by 9,000 last week; the four-week moving average, however remained at a more than four-year high, climbing to 372,250. The Dow advanced 24.43 points, or 0.19%, to 12,625.62. The Standard & Poor's 500 index gained 3.64 points, or 0.26%, to 1,394.35, and the Nasdaq composite index was up 16.31 points, or 0.67%, to 2,464.58. look at how the Indian ADRs performed:
