US mkts ended down; Dow down 59 points

The Dow closing down 59 points, the S&P 500 off by 8-points and Nasdaq shedding 6-points across the board for Wall Street. As investors appear to be under whelmed by an economic stimulus plans form the White House. President Bush calling for USD 145 billion worth of tax relief including tax payer rebates.
Oil futures also sliding on disappointment over stimulus package, prices now below USD 91/bbl welll off the USD 100/bbl high hit back on January 3.
Sprint Nextel sees a slower growth ahead, sold the wireless company is closing 125 stores trimming 4,000 jobs, and new concerns over bond insurance eroding investor confidence. This week Fitch cuts rating on bond insurer Ambac after it decided to scrap USD 1 billion equity issue.
