US markets ended in the green led by financials and technology stocks. The sentiments also got lifted after MBIA assured that the company is having enough liquidity and reported 1Q loss lower than analysts' estimates.

Technology stocks were among the day's big gainers as traders cheered the next wave of cool gadgets. Companies like research in motion and apple posted significant gains.

Financials also advanced led by HSBC, as its profits rose.

Nymex crude oil dropped USD 1.73 to settle at USD 124.23 per barrel.

The Dow Jones ended 130.4 points higher at 12876.3, the Nasdaq shut shop at 2489, up 43 points. The S&P 500 closed 15 points higher at 1,403.
