US markets end with modest gain

CNBC's Rebecca Jarvis - A slight pullback in oil prices helping fuel a modest rally on the Wall Street, the Dow adding 55 points, Nasdaq finishing up with 30 and the S&P gaining up 6 points. Despite some dismal news from retailers in early Easter, bad weather even a weak consumer all adding up to the weakest monthly retail figures in 13 years. Wall Mart, Kohl’s and Gap reported weaker than expected sales for the month of March. The CEO for Goldman Sachs saying that Wall Street is close to the end of the credit crisis, the world’s biggest finance companies have lost almost USD 250 billion since credit related problems first surfaced last year. |
