US markets closed mixed. Dell earnings were better than expectations and rebound in oil price led technology and energy shares higher. The government also said a key gauge of inflation was temperate in April. Dell soared 5.7% to USD 23.06. Earnings and sales beat projections, signaling that chief executive officer Michael Dell's turnaround strategy is making progress. The Dow Jones index fell 7.9 points to end at 12,638.32.
