European mkts surge nearly 3%

European markets were trading higher with more than three percent gain, witnessing huge buying interest. Banking stocks have surged after JP Morgan raised Bear Stearns' offer price from USD 2/share to USD 10/share.
FTSE rose 177.60 points or 3.13% at 5,672.80, CAC 40 was up 149.01 points or 3.18% at 4,682.73 and DAX gained 191.30 points or 2.94% at 6,511.29.
