Another day of gains on Wall Street today, this marks the third day in a row for the Dow and the S&P 500 where we saw advances, still down in 2008 and for that you can thank strong retail sales numbers and a surge in technology.

 

In the end the Dow Jones Industrial Average tonight up 170-points strength in oils, technology. We had a surprised job at retail sales that got everything going this morning, the better than expected report happened to alleviate fears that the slowing economy and a slowdown in the consumer. That and a broad based rally in technology helped lead the market higher today.
