CNBC-TV18's research anlayst, Anichya Shah has given F&O highlights: It was a day primarily concentrated around the midcap space, we saw the midcap index also rally a fair bit compared to other indices. Turnover was slightly disappointing compared to yesterday’s trade locking in around Rs 40,000 crore compared to yesterday’s Rs 46,000-47,000 crore this is on account of the quite trading period we had during mid- afternoon.

In Nifty we saw a lot of intra day trading but some bit of short build up in the end and in the end some of that was covered as well, so we have not seen in been it in a whole range, it’s been in a 5-10% discount.

5000 Put and Call, so fair bit of open interest build up and the 4900 Put shared some of the Open Interest (OI) which had build up the previous date.

Lot of these momentum stocks like RPL, RNRL which saw huge OI build up on the previous day saw some bit of long unwinding at higher levels today from the morning itself and which is why RPL which started strong ended the day down about 2%, went into a discount and shed a whole 31 lakh shares in OI. Even the sugar space which looked strong yesterday saw fair bit of unwinding and shed about 4.7 lakh shares, was down about Rs 1 in the spot market.

Some of the other midcap stocks that were slightly negative trend towards the end were Aptech which saw good OI build up of about 2.5 lakh shares and that CoC surged a fair bit in the end. Zee Entertainment after yesterdays result did see some short build up in today’s trade. It has added 8.7 lakh shares , down about Rs 11 in the spot market and Arvind Mills and other stocks that did well in today’s traded added about 5.5 lakh shares and good CoC of about 0.3 looking pretty strong.
