RPL adds 25 lakh shares in open interest

There are no positive cues coming in from the F&O space. We did see a fair bit of unwinding over the last few trading sessions. Today it should on a provisional basis it should on a provisional basis it looks like stock futures have net shed OI so unwinding has been the theme of the day especially in the midcap space. Two days back Nifty futures was at 20 points premium till yesterday and infact till mid-day today was at 10 point premium day end and it has slipped into a discount so heavy shorting, especially when it broke that 5,000 mark and clear shorts being build up in Nifty today, as I mentioned lot of the midcap stocks saw a fair bit of unwinding.

Arvind Mills yesterday’s star stock shed most of its OI it shed about 7.7 lakh shares and has slipped into a bit of discount. A stock that saw a bit of unwinding was Idea which has seen a good OI build up over the last few days has succumb to profit booking in late trade today 20 lakh shares were shed and was down about Rs 3 in the spot market.

RNRL another liquid largecap stock saw a fair bit of profit booking 15 lakh shares were shed and it did slip into discount and was down a fair bit in the spot market. Counter part from the oil space RPL saw a huge shorting throughout the day 25 lakh shares were added and was down Rs 15 in the spot market a fair bit and JP Associates also down about 7% saw a good short build up about 5.7 lakh shares and had slipped into a discount.
