CNBC-TV18's Head-Markets Research, Anuj Singhal has given F&O highlights: Quite low turnover for the expiry day. The Nifty rollovers refused to pick up at all and that is why the turnover was on the lower side even on individual stocks also we had the lower turnover. Rs 64,000 crore is the final turnover for the NSE F&O series.

The Nifty rollover at about 55% definitely will go down as the lowest in last one year in fact this series will start at the lightest level since May of 2007 when they started with about Rs 41,000 crore. This time it would be closer to that, I think close to Rs 40,000 crore.

Stock futures rollover were decent at about 71% these are provisional numbers, they would change maybe you would see an uptick of 4%-5% by the time the final stats come. But in the Nifty futures we are heading into the series with the premium of 35 points so market is on the net long side and rollover of 57% but net build up of nearly 86 lakh shares in the April series. So towards the end some positions were taken but not enough to see the rollover carry through.

But apart from that couple of stocks where there were some pressures. IDBI, which was down in late trade. It has 67% rollover and 46 lakh net share open interest build up.

Sail was always going to struggle with its low rollovers just about 52%; it has to be the lowest rollover for Sail. Since May or 2006 we have seen just about 52% rollover for Sail, 46 lakh shares is the open interest build up over there.

IDFC too had some rollover pressures 64% rollover and open interest build up of nearly 35 lakh shares.

Couple of stocks that stood out though Hindalco strong rollovers- Hindalco normally sees strong rollovers but this time too given the context of markets this is quite good, 82% with the net change of 20 lakh shares.

REC is again trying to inch towards its issue price. The stock was up about 5% into today’s trade, 90% rollover for that one and actually saw open interest cut in today’s trade.
