Nifty Futurs have been seeing a fair bit of shorts

CNBC-TV18's, Research Analsyt, Anichya Shah :The turnover has been pretty low in the F&O space. No major cues coming out of the options space but very interestingly 4200 is currently where the maximum OI has been added and it is seeing some bit of unwinding today, although very minimal in terms of total OI being unwound and 4500 continues to see about 3-4 lakh shares being unwound - the 4500 PUT i.e.

The Nifty Futures have been seeing a fair bit of shorts into the system since the morning. So it has been at about 14-25 point discount and 22 lakh shares have been added there.

Chambal Fertilisers after that fertiliser policy announcement along with Nagarjuna Fertilisers has been buzzing a fair bit. About 11% OI buildup on that stock and it has inched into a bit of premium. So there was some bit of long buildup there.

DCB one of the biggest underperformers in the recent downward spiral for most of the banking stocks, today is finally seeing some bit probably bottom-fishing as one could see OI buildup to the tune of 7 lakh shares and has inched into a bit of a premium and is also up a fair bit in the spot market.

JSW Steel is seeing a fair bit of short buildup in today's trading session. 2.5 lakh shares and almost 10% OI buildup and down about 8% in the spot market.

Suzlon has been in a fair bit of short trading action -- today has added about 12 lakh shares and is down a fair bit in the spot market and even ICICI Bank from the private banking space has seen significant short buildup -- 5 lakh shares and has got into a bit of a discount.
