CNBC-TV18's research analyst, Anichya Shah has given F&O hgihlights: The NSE F&O turnover has picked up compared to the last week. Rs 23,000 crore versus an average of about Rs 17,000-18,000 crore at around this time is what we saw in the last week. The Nifty OI change is currently at about 6-7 lakh and the premium has shot up to about 16-point premium. This is on account of a fair bit of short covering in the morning, the change in OI was at about 14 lakhs, which has come down and there has been a fair bit of short covering.

Including Infosys, which up about 6%. The stock in the last one-hour or so has shed about 1.8 lakh shares in OI, taking the total tally to about 3 lakhs being shed and it has shot up a fair bit - at about 6% in the spot market. The entire IT space has been seeing a fair bit of action.

HCL Tech whose results will come out in the evening has been driven up by a fair bit of short covering - 1.7 lakh shares have been shed. The discount has been reducing. We have even seen some bit of long buildup in Satyam Comp.

But Petronet LNG whose results are expected tomorrow has seen a fair bit of action. It has seen a good OI buildup of about 2 lakh shares and it has inched into some sort of a premium.

The entire sugar space - Balrampur Chini, Bajaj Hindusthan and Shree Renuka all have seen some bit of long buildup. Balrampur Chini has seen addition of about 1.70 lakh shares. It is in a slight bit of a discount but it is inching up.

IDFC continues to see some bit of short buildup bucking the positive trend. 10 lakh shares have been added right now and it is down about Rs 2 in the spot market.
