See inflation at 5.5% by '08-end: C Rangarajan

Economist, C Rangarajan, expects inflation to fall to 5.5% by the end of the year and at 6% in 3-4 months. He added that the inflation behaviour would also depend on the monsoons.

 

The anti-inflation steps could impact revenue mop-up, Rangarajan said.

 

Rangarajan feels that high crude oil price could impact growth. He sees FY09 growth at 8-8.5%,
