Fed is considering closing lending window to primary dealers once crisis is over. Fed Chairman, Ben Bernanke says that only extending liquidity to Bear Stearns would not have prevented its bankruptcy and the stock price of Bear Stearns was secondary issue for US Fed before the deal.
