Bomb blasts at Lucknow, Varanasi, Faizabad

The blasts in Lucknow and Faizabad took place outside Civil Courts. The blast at Varanasi took place in the cantonment area. The blasts took place within a gap of 5 minutes. At least five people are feared dead in the Faizabad blast, said the Faizabad Commissioner. Seven people are feared dead in the Varanasi blast and one person is reported injured in the Lucknow blast. High alert has been sounded in Delhi and Bangalore following blasts in UP. The Inspector General of Lucknow said that search operations are underway at Courts and a four-member NSG team has been sent to all the three blast sites. Bombs had been placed on cycles at all three blast sites, commented the ADGP, Law and Order. A high level meeting is underway in Lucknow following the blasts.
