The CRPF has finally taken control of some areas in Nandigram. But CRPF sources claim they are facing resistance from the West Bengal police and CPM workers, reports CNBC-TV18.

Senior BJP leaders including L K Advani and Sushma Swaraj have reached Nandigram to take stock of the situation, even as the opposition has withdrawn its bandh call for today. Meanwhile, the West Bengal Chief Secretary and Home Secretary met Governor Gopal Krishna Gandhi, to report on developments in the area.
