The two-month old Yahoo! takeover tale has taken a surprising twist. Rupert Murdoch's News Corp has reportedly joined forces with Microsoft to launch a joint bid for Yahoo!. The company has been staunchly staving off any efforts at a takeover. But if Microsoft sweetens its bid with the backing of News Corp, Yahoo! and its shareholders might have a tough time saying no.
