Bangalore, July 14 The Volkswagen Group hopes to double its sales of passenger vehicles for the current calendar year to 20,000. The ambitious outlook stems from the German Group’s stellar performance during January-June 2008, when it witnessed a 69 per cent jump in its sales of all cars over the corresponding period of last year.
In view of the robust sales, Volkswagen Group has forecast higher sales for the year, said Mr Joerg Muller, President, Volkswagen India and Representative of Volkswagen Group, according to a company release. contd on page 2... |
