Piramal Health to buy domestic formulations brand: Srcs

CNBC-TV18 has learnt from sources that Piramal Health is looking at acquiring a domestic formulations brand. The acquisition deal size is seen around Rs 150-200 crore, sources added.
Sources said that Piramal Health is looking to acquire a brand in the domestic formulations space (which contributes to 40% of revenues). The deal size is seen around Rs 150-200 crore. The company is looking to acquire a brand in the area of neurology and anti-cancer. The management of Piramal Health has declined to comment on market speculation. Piramal Health is looking to acquire brands and does not require manufacturing facilities as of now. It has an agreement to buy Anafortan and CEFI brands from Khandelwal Labs for Rs 116 crore.
