Not aware of any US Congress probe: Ranbaxy

Ranbaxy said it is not aware of any Congressional Committee inquiry. "We have not received any communication regarding a US Congress probe."

Earlier, a Star-Ledger report findings said the US Congress will probe US FDA's (Food and Drug Administration) handling of Ranbaxy imports. House Energy and the Commerce Committee, or HE&CC, will investigate into the US FDA. HE&CC will probe if the FDA knowingly let unsafe medicine to enter the US. Congress Committee will probe FDA's handling of allegations on Ranbaxy.  

FDA has declined to comment, and says the case is a subject of open Fed probe.
