Minimum criteria for EPF scheme lowered

The Employee Provident Fund board meet has deferred its decision on setting interest rates for FY09, reports CNBC-TV18.

The board has okayed a proposal to lower threshold limits to a minimum of 10 employees for applicability to the EPF scheme. The board will meet again next month.
