MindShare to now offer holistic brand solutions

WPP's largest media agency, MindShare, which buys media worth Rs 2,000 crore in India alone, is now looking to offer holistic communications solutions to brands.

Following a global restructuring, media agency MindsSare is ready to take on  a new role. From being a mere media buying and planning agency to a full-service communications outfit, MindShare is gearing itself up to become a lead business partner to its clients.

In the new structure there are four different units that of Client Leadership, Business Planning, Invention and Exchange, which would stress on generating media neutral creative content in order to move up the value chain.

Vikram Sakhuja, CCO, Group M, said, "Media is at the heart of marketing and through this intervention, MindShare is fantastically staking that claim to be up there discussing the startegies with the brands and telling them how to spend their money."

MindShare expects this restructuring to result in greater revenue generation especially from the business planning unit. And hopes to achieve a 20 percent year on year growth. And with increased focus on key clients like PepsiCo, Unilever and ICICI expect more dedicated teams in the near term for some other brands too.

This new organisational structure will come in place by July this year.
