IVRCL bags contract for livestock institute building

Hyderabad, July 15

IVRCL has been awarded the contract for the first package of Rs 78 crore for the construction of the Indira Gandhi Centre for Advanced Research on Livestock (IGCARL).

The Centre is coming up at Pulivendula, the hometown of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who on Tuesday launched its Web site.

The second package for Rs 98 crore is under finalisation and would be awarded to IVRCL next week.

Total area of the veterinary centre is about 7,35,000 sq ft, according to a press release from the Chief Minister’s Office.

The Chief Minister, who reviewed the progress of works and also the issues of animal husbandry, fisheries and A.P. dairy federation, wanted all the building complexes to be completed by September 2009.
