By Ashwin Mohan, CNBC-TV18:

RIL's Counsel Harish Salve opened the session saying that ‘In the worst case scenario’ production in the KG Basin would  begin by September. He said that India's gas production will double from the KG basin. He added that MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) acknowledgement is insufficient and should be produced in court. He also said that the need for witness statement has kept the MOU away from the court.

The RNRL Counsel Ram Jethmalani inturn said that the MOU is in private domain and some aspects may not be meant for public viewing.

Meanwhle sources say that the government will not to file additional affidavits until the main arguments end.
