Ban on commodity futures trading to be reviewed on Sept 6

Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar said the ban on futures trading on commodities is to be reviewed on September 6, reports CNBC-TV18. "However, the ban on non-Basmati rice exports would continue. The ban on non-Basmati rice exports is to be reviewed after fresh procurement."

 

Pawar said there would be no new ordinance on Forwards Contract Regulation Act. "The bill would come into effect after taking view from all parties."
