After months of speculation, the Aviva BPO deal is finally done. Sources said Aviva has chosen to retain the services of all its three vendors ‑ WNS, EXL, and 24/7.

They added that Aviva has awarded outsourcing contracts to WNS, EXL, and 24/7. The deal is worth USD one billion and is spread over 10 years. Aviva has its own captive services called Aviva Global Services which employed around 1,400 people. In all, it has around 5,000 employees in India and Sri Lanka. This work was divided between its own captive unit and the three vendors.

The decision on whether Aviva will take back the contract from the three vendors was to be taken in April. However, sources said the company has retained the work with them.

When contacted, WNS said, “As policy, WNS does not respond to market speculation.” EXL said it would not like to comment on this. 24/7 hasn’t responded yet.

Aviva Global Services said, " We've been reviewing our options with regard to our offshore operations and that review is now coming to a close. We expect to be able to announce our decision shortly and will let you know as soon as we have further information to share with you"

Sources said that a decision is likely to come as soon as tomorrow.
