Asian markets end lower

Asian markets ended lower. Shanghai Composite declined 2.21% or 66.71 points at 2,957.53. Hang Seng fell 1.30% or 303.74 points at 23,023.86.

Nikkei 225 Average plunged 2.08% or 294.88 points at 13,888.60.  Straits Times went down 0.87% or 26.62 points at 3,020.15.

Seoul Composite fell 2.37% or 42.31 points at 1,739.36.  Taiwan Weighted lost 3.39% or 283.28 points at 8,062.31.

However, Jakarta Composite advanced 1.44% or 34.22 points at 2,409.01.

Asian markets slip further; Nikkei, Hang Seng down over 2%

Asian markets were trading sharply lower. Shanghai Composite was down 3.255 or 98.299 points at 2,925.941. Hang Seng fell 2.22% or 517.67 points at 22,809.93. Nikkei 225 Average plunged 2.02% or 286.54 points at 13,896.94.

Jakarta Composite was down 0.24% or 5.685 points at 2,369.10. Straits Times went down 2.14% or 65.05 points at 2,981.72. Seoul Composite fell 1.73% or 30.75 points at 1,750.92. Taiwan Weighted lost 3.05% or 254.22 points at 8,091.37.

Markets @ 8:20 am IST : Asian markets trading weak

Asian markets were trading weak. China's Shanghai Composite slipped 1.35% or 40.79 points at 2,983.45.

Japan's Nikkei fell 2.27% or 321.78 points at 13,861.70.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng plunged 2.11% or 491.26 points at 22,836.34.

Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted was down 2.16% or 180.31 points at 8,165.28.

Singapore's Straits Times lost 1.86% or 56.59 points at 2,990.18.

South Korea's Seoul Composite dropped 1.65% or 29.38 points at 1,752.29.
