Asian markets end lower

Asian markets ended lower. Jakarta Composite fell 1.52% or 38 points at 2,465.96. Straits Times lost 1.22% or 38.71 points at 3,122.15. Seoul Composite declined 0.41% or 7.48 points at 1,827.94. Shanghai Composite lost 12.54 points or 0.36% at 3,473.09. Hang Seng was down 329.05 points or 1.31% at 24,714.07. Taiwan Weighted lost 1.92% or 173.30 points at 8,834.73. However, Nikkei 225 Average was up 0.24% or 33.74 points at 14,012.20. Asian markets @ 9:50 am Asian markets trading mixed Asian markets were trading mixed. Nikkei 225 Average was up 0.72% or 100.08 points at 14,078.54. Jakarta Composite rose 0.27% or 6.86 points at 2,510.81. Straits Times gained 0.42% or 13.31 points at 3,174.17. Seoul Composite was up 0.10% or 1.92 points at 1,837.34. Asian markets @ 8.10am Asian markets trading mixed Asian markets were trading mixed. China's Shanghai Composite was up 0.78% or 27.24 points at 3,512.86. Japan's Nikkei gained 0.73% or 102.50 points at 14,080.96. However, Hong Kong's Hang Seng plunged 0.29% or 73 points at 24,970.12. Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted declined 0.57% or 51.47 points at 8,956.56. Singapore's Straits Times was flat at 3,163.77. South Korea's Seoul Composite was flat at 1,834.50. |
