Asian markets ended higher. China's Shanghai Composite rose 2.55% or 72.44 points at 2,910.29. Japan's Nikkei gained 2.18% or 290.38 points at 13,603.31. Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted advanced 0.80% or 58.25 points at 7,368.08. South Korea's Seoul Composite added 2.16% or 34.38 points at 1,626.14. However, Hong Kong's Hang Seng was down 0.20% or 46.83 points at 23,087.72. Singapore's Straits Times ended flat at 2,977.91.
