Asian markets end higher

Asian markets ended higher. China's Shanghai Composite rose 0.94% or 31.92 points at 3,433.35. 

Japan's Nikkei gained 1.52% or 214.07 points at 14,338.54.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng was up 0.61% or 149.13 points at 24,533.12.

South Korea's Seoul Composite advanced 0.59% or 10.80 points at 1,852.02.

Singapore's Straits Times rose 1.01% or 31.84 points at 3,192.62.  

However, Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted plunged 0.76% or 65.84 points at 8,619.08.

Asian markets were trading mixed. China's Shanghai Composite rose 0.74% or 25.09 points at 3,426.53.

Japan's Nikkei gained 0.82% or 115.88 points at 14,240.35.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng was up 0.06% or 15.24 points at 24,399.23.

However, Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted plunged 1.21% or 105.02 points at 8,579.90.

South Korea's Seoul Composite declined 0.39% or 7.24 points at 1,833.98.

Singapore's Straits Times was flat at 3,159.68.
