Tea stocks surge on rise in price

The Inflation for the week ended April 26 was at 7.61% versus 7.57%. It remains at 42-month high.

WPI for all the commodities was at 227.7, up 0.1%. April 26 WPI was up on rise in food prices. Tea prices for week ended April 26 were up 11%.

At 12:30 pm,  Assam Company was quoting at Rs 28.55, up Rs 1.30, or 4.77%, Harrisons Malyalam was quoting at Rs 91.25, up Rs 5.95, or 6.98%, Jayshree Tea and Industries was quoting at Rs 136.25, up Rs 3.70, or 2.79%,  Tata Tea was quoting at Rs 918.90, up Rs 8.65, or 0.95% and CCL Products India was quoting at Rs 151.00, up Rs 2.40, or 1.62%.
