TCS declares results, stk gains 5.7%

At 10:43 am, Tata Consultancy Services, TCS was quoting at Rs 769, up Rs 41.65, or 5.73%. It has touched an intraday high of Rs 781.75 and an intraday low of Rs 745.

The company has announced its first quarter numbers. It has posted consolidated net profit of Rs 1,243.6 crore for the quarter ended June 2008 as against Rs 1,255.9 crore in previous quarter, reports CNBC-TV18.
 
It was trading with volumes of 211,744 shares. Yesterday the share closed down 2.98% or Rs 22.35 at Rs 727.35.
