A jump of 125% is fantastic in a lean period between June and Sep...

In the coming festive season quarter results will be much better than the previous quarter.

Keeping this in mind I recommend investors to accumulate United Breweries for a target of Rs.250 - 300 in the near term....

also recommend a strong buy of Balaji Distellerie at cmp Rs.33 - 35 which as it will be merged with United Spirits Limited.........

Like I said the results will be stupendous....

It ha been a over 125% jump in profits at Rs 11.71 crores against Rs.5.16 crores YoY..

And this is a lean season...Profits will increase in the coming 2 quaters as it is going to be a festive season when consumption of liqor is high....

I recommend a strong buy at current levels of Rs.148 - 155 for a target of Rs.250 - 300......

long term fundamentals r excellent... India has a young population, with a median age of only 25 years. Per capita consumption is low at one litre per annum and 48 per cent of alcoholic drinks volumes are made up by beer.. compare these figures with china....

i would put my bet on this stock getting rerated soon

the trigger is not the results... its a value play on the indian consumers... with increasing prosperity the sale of beer is going to zoom in years to come.. if u can hold it for 5 years you will see a giant emerge from this company... also the margins as of now is very low due to high taxes.. once they r rationalized then u will see eps move up significantly.. hold for long term n njoy ......
