Hi Rashmi,

You are quite right with the reading. Just one point I would add. If you see MACD for Jindal Steel, it is still very very strong. So, profit booking can start. But for shorting, one should keep stoploss at 730 since we can see some volatility in the stock in next few trading sessions before it starts correcting/consolidating.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Rudra

You are telling a idiot that ICICI was at 90`s levels and wasting energy.
A idiot who dosent know what are fundamentally good stocks and acts as if he knows everything and keeps giving calls on junk stocks. A idiot who ask`s is P&G and INFOSYS fundamentally good.

I had purchased ICICI at 90. All stocks have a phase. SO u cant just dicard it.

It needs knowledge, wisdom and experience to respect stocks and people.

When the upbringing is bad no one can help.

Just relax and guide people who need and who are open polite humble and humans.....Dogs are found on every other street so no need to entertain dogs here.

I have set up Amibroker.

I have coded in AFL language.

In the exploration I am not able to combine different indicators.

If I have to combine a gapup, crossovers, MACD for X stock then it should show me which parameters the stock X is passing thru out of the given filters.

Is any one acquainted with AFL coding/programming.

NMDC fpo price range at 300-350 will give govt annualized return of 105-110% over 8 years period ( note that in 2002, NMDC was below 1 rs). wow.

upper range of 350 was expected but lower range could have come at 260 for better price discovery. i think price will be held up above 350 till last date of ipo to lure retail. this is not a f/o stock where hedge can be done, so very risky bet. let us hope fiis turns in masses to subscribe it at upper band LOL.

If NMDC gets subscribed at 350 that will suggest euphoria in stock market is back.

Cheers

Dear karshin

Presently, the loan Portfolio of most Banks in India is very less compared to funds available with Banks -except a few banks, of course.

Most companies are reluctant to go to Banks for loans but are going for public deposits, QIPs, right issues, ADRs etc, for a majority of their funds. Despite that, Banks are making good profits on their not so significant loan portfolio.

Most banks are really flush with funds and are either not able to lend or not willing to lend - specially public sector banks, which are the majority. So, increase in CRR etc are really not effective in curbing their liquidity. CRR increase affects only some PVT Sector Banks in India because of this.

But, even PVT sector is really not affected by CRR etc - because now a days they go for huge current accounts + Savings Accounts (called as CASA deposits) which are really very, very low cost funds but a big percentage of that is always available with Banks for lending at a much higher rate of interest. Banks having higher CASA deposits are more profitable almost as a thumb rule. Banks no more prefer Fixed deposits, which are high cost funds.

The retail loan portfolio of banks is very high now a days and NPAs in them has also come down reasonably. This gives huge profits to Banks.

There are many such strong reasons to believe that Banks in India will perform better and better quarter after quarter in India - except in a odd qtr where they may book some NPAs.

But private banks with strong and prudent Managements will always outperform Public sector Banks in the days to come.

Public sector Banks will also be steady performers, improving quarter after quarter generally - because of more public confidence in them.

A former TVS employee`s mystical experience:

Quoting from the Net

It was the end of June, 1974. As per a recent agreement with the workers` union, the company was to dispense a semi-annual cash bonus along with this month`s regular pay allotment.

Our department`s job was to do the calculation of each employee`s bonus percentage. But two of our men had gone on leave. SVS was in a fix - how would all this work be finished before payday, tomorrow?

I bailed him out by working late, doing the jobs of three men, including the arithmetic, the counting of the cash and the sorting of the pay envelopes. Shortly before ten o`clock, the night watchman came by the office and looked in.

"How can you finish all this tonight? Is it that you`re not coming to work tomorrow?"

I brushed him off with a confident grin, assuring him that I was nearly done and there were no problems. Nodding, he ambled out. But his suggestion that I would not work here tomorrow sunk in.

Right then and there my determination to go on with life as I`d been living it crumbled around me. I`d been visiting as many as two prostitutes a day while keeping up a phoney mystical aura about myself. All I had done was make myself look ridiculous to Charulata, the only person who really mattered to me. Even Mum was fed up. And on top of that I was caged like a wild beast in the TVS organization. I wanted out.

I completed the work at ten. I signed the register for my own pay envelope and pocketed it. The watchman let me out of the building and through the security gate onto the street. I stood in front of the factory for a moment, gazing at its monolithic bulk that seemed to glow a sinister dull red under the harsh spotlights. "Not in this lifetime again", I swore under my breath.

Contd.
