Suzlon Future in Five Years

In five years any thing can happen.
If the promoters are honest in to their efforts to run the company like Dhirubhai Ambani did, Suzlon will be another Reliance and Rs 2000 is nothing.

Cost of power through wind energy is 7 cents (Rs 3.4) per Kilowatt hr while with conventional sources is 8 cents (Rs 3.84) per Kilowatt hr in US. So US shall really go for wind power. Moreover worldwide maufacturers are moving towards gearless turbines so HAnsen sale is good for Suzlon (Source Scientific American India)

If you are very much interested in Book Value vs. current market rate, which if ofcourse, one of the fundamental criteria for investment along with eps; pe etc, pl consider investment in Nahar capital whose book value is 242 and its current price is 57 with recent quarter eps of around 8+
which company is also having more than 60000 shares of pnb guilts and 25000 shares of punjab national bank as one of its investment portfolio. pl. study the portfolio of Nahar Capital whose investment value is around 380 crores as on 31.3.09 and definetely there will be good appreciation of its portfolio as per present value (sensex around 8500 as on 31.3.09 whereas now it is 17000+) Grab this share before it crosses 70 shortly based on these excellent fundamentals besides your other sector criteria i.e. that Nahar Capital belongs to financial sector.
Bharti should Fall Down

I do hold Bharti shares. My point was that I have taken a conscious decision to buy them. Similarly I have to take a conscious decision to subscribe to Bharti telecom service. If I do not like it I do not subscribe to it. In fact, I don`t use Airtel. I can`t ask Bharti to shut down simply because I feel it is cheating its customers etc.
Just like I may not like a particular political party then I am at liberty not to vote for it in elections. I can`t ask the EC to de-recognise it based on my perceptions. It is a different case if a legally tenable case can be made out for cheating/fraud etc. ...

hi jaggihs, i think you hold airtel shares thats y u r speaking like this..this positive,,as all operators arre taking quick decisions on reducing the charges then y not airtel..its the incapability of the management and having fear where they will loss a huge base of susbscibers and coming to the service its the worst of kind.
If think in a business way,the margins and the EPS will decrease in future as number portability is around the corner and lot of subscribers will shift to Reliance,TATA for the benefit of call charges and network issues..Wait and watch ,,this script will get a beating to 250/- down the lane
The current CMD of PNB was CMD of ALBK

It does not matter if you offend someone as long as you do not use profanities, you are just speaking the truth. I think Canara bank is going for Dena bank and UBI is merging with Corporation bank. Andhra bank might be amalgamated as well. There is Syndicate and Vijaya banks also, both headquartered in Karnataka (like Canara and Corporation) which could be up for grabs. Bank of Maharashtra does not provide similar scale but might find the going tough as per Basel II norms. I also expect merger of SBI associates to happen sooner. The east based banks, Allahabad, UCO and the unlisted United Bank of India, I do not know what happens to them. Pranab Mukherjee might want them to merge but he won`t like another volatile situation in WB before assembly elections in 2011. ...

goldentip, Yes, the present CMD of PNB was the CMD of Allahabad Bank earlier. But, PNB, why for that matter any major nationalised bank, would not like to merge any kolkata-based bank (sorry, if I offend anyone). Why I am saying is that PNB itself had experience many a times in the region. Now, the news (as per UTV) is that Union Bank has made presentation for merger of Corporation Bank with itself. Incase PNB is to go in for merger of another bank, the next fundamentally good bank (after Corporation Bank) is Andhra Bank. Who knows what is the call of the political master?

What downside levels do u think bharti can go. Since we are already invested at very high levels(400+) and booking loss at this point will not be a good idea. So we have to average somewhere at down levels, i can hold for 1.5 years now.

I think the processs involves both the managements declaring a ratio of merger and other formalities like share holders meeting, etc. will follow later. We are interested in knowing the ratio of merger and that should not be difficult for PNB to decide as it can dominate both the boards. Some other boarder has quoted Nahar capital holding a big chunk. I am sure they must be having some inkling about merger ratio to hold such good quantity...

While we have recd. our SRF dividends, those of us holding SRF Poly shares have not heard anything from the company, although, SRF Poly has already received the interim dividend equal to Rs. 30/- per share of SRF Poly. I suggest that we all telephone and send emails to the company, requesting interim dividend to be given in SRF Poly also, like SRF. I have already done the same. The details are as follows :
Whole time director : Mr. Rajat Lakhanpal, phone no. : 011-23738494 , and email ID : rlakhanpal@srfdotcom . Incidentally, Mr. Lakhanpal is also to be contacted for Investor Grievances .
