History of Indian Economics will have to say that...Hon`ble Dr.Man Mohan Singh the product of Punjab University, University of Cambridge and University of Oxford, who has the experience of serving as Governor of the RBI between 1982 and 1985, Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of India from 1985 to 1987 and Secretary General of the South Commission from 1987 to 1990 and as the Finance Minister, a post he held until 1996. His tenure as Finance Minister is best remembered for the economic reforms he carried out, which ended the License Raj system and helped open the Indian economy towards Globalization.
Now another view;-
His personal assets amount to five crore rupees (approx 1 million USD), can he justify as to how a migrated sikh family professor of Economics in Punjab University can attain such huge asset in his bank account.
His public image has been tarnished recently as he heads the government which is mired in some of the biggest corruption scandals in recent history. He is also accused of being a weak prime minister by several politicians and social activists.
Some blame him for being used as remote control by Congress Supremo "Sonia maino alias sonia g@ndhi".
Dr.Man Mohan Singh has undergone multiple cardiac bypass surgeries, the most recent of which took place in January 2009 cannot work for more hours due to heavy intake of anti - bio-tics which force him to go to sleep during the parliamentary discussions and fitness level is always challenged as he cannot walk for long distance of 1 kilo metre.
We really don`t have any personal animosity with this fellow but if India`s growth story has to come up strongly then we need a strong mental and physically capable person who may lead the country from the front and wow down before a foreigner lady Sonia or her good old family back ground.
He should have learnt some thing from Lt.Ex.PM P.V.Narsimha Rao who may not have been termed as great Economics learner but he was strong enough to say BYE-BYE / TATA to this G@ndhi family as he took his own decisions.
Any way let`s hope that common sense prevails in the mind of Dr.Singh and he comes out with some positive economical reforms during his remaining last few months tenure. {Indian Corporate houses are also not very happy with him.}
A FOOD FOR THOUGHT FOR ALL NOBLE BOARDERS.
REGARDS

Dear Varner sir,
Good Morning,
I am very optimistic after going through the result data of NHPC as it has indicated huge growth prospects after commissioning of new on-going projects.
NHPC is presently available at a very Cheap price tag and if,we witness even average south west monsoon then also the increased check dams will be able to supply regular inflow of water thereby resulting in increased power generation of hyro electric power.
However, Indian meteorological dept has predicted normal to medium rainfall in all part of the country due Al-Nino effect in the Indian ocean, the same has been proven by monsoon reaching timely in Andaman & Nicobar Islands on 25 May.
I have a firm believe that if we witness Medium to high rainfall in J&k,Uttrakhand,North-Eastern states,Chattishgarh & MP where 80% of NHPC projects are functioning then the turbines of NHPC will have to be maintained round the clock for smooth generation of Hydro-Electric Power.
Further,Power Secretary has also directed to all the states electricity commissions /state Govt`s to increase the price of commercial and domestic electricity rates.
Gujarat and Punjab have already hiked their rates followed by MP.
I expect NHPC to attain levels of + Rs.30/- by the end of October / November , if Global Markets turn up strongly and FII`s sentiments /confidence is increased by the Positive & hard decisions by UPA Govt.
If any noble investor can hold it tightly for a 2-3 years, we expect a justified three figure price tag for NHPC as the completion of on-going projects will start the power production to their full capacity.
We had sent a message on this NHPC board in Jan 2012 as to why NHPC will rock in its Q-4 results, the same are repeated again to refresh the memory of all invesotrs of NHPC.
WHY NHPC WILL ROCK IN Q-4 ?
1. NHPC means Hydro-Power company,
2. This company generates hydro - electricity from water.
3. All its projects are located in high altitude areas.
4.These include states like J&K, North East, Uttara khand.
5. All of you may have seen on T.V. or heard the news of Heavy Snowfall in high altitudes and records of many decades have been broken.
6.This snow will freeze and melt down slowly in months to come and keep on recharging our rivers throughout the year .
7. This will lead to water levels maintenance throughout the year thereby leading NHPC turbines with generation of regular Power output.
8. Now if any one has a little bit of commonsense, One can easily make out justification which can be understood even by a lay man further it will increase in profit margins and 100% positive results in Q4.
Noble investors please stay one, patience always pays in stock Market.
very good luck
Regards
Zip2ravi

Dear Supriya,

Actually the Q4 income itself was down from 7372 Cr to 6815 Cr. And there might be many other reasons for posting such loss.

The good things that can be seen are:

1. Net loss for FY 12 has come down to 478 Cr from 1324 Cr in the FY 11

2. Guidance for FY 13 is almost 35% higher at 28K Cr and with improved EBIT margin by 50 basis points.

So overall, you can expect in FY 13 (current year):

1. Faster Execution of orders
2. Reasonable Net Profit for the full year
3. Smooth payment of FCCBs
4. Debt Reduction at the end of FY 13

So, with this many positive things it should do well in the medium to long term. But regarding immediate short term, it depends upon how the market reacts to the loss posted in Q4, although it should not really matter that seriously.

So, Hope for the best to see the market reaction on Monday.

Best Regards,
BizTalk
