ICSA India
Promoters` Credibility??
Posted by :
reliabullTracked by: 0 Boarder
Dear Hembhat
I heard on CNBC that Indiabulls sold pledged shares of ICSA in 3 block deals. They also mentioned of the conversion of warrants and open market purchase by promoters. But i don`t think that it has got to do anything with the promoters` credbility or integrity. They could have done it on the sly too!! (correct me on this) All insider trading details have been reported and is consistent with the shareholding pattern. This news too will be reported I`m sure. I think the shares must have been pledged to raise money for Softpro acquisition or maybe like other retail invesotrs to invest in other company shares. And just like other retial investors, ICSA promoter too has suffered and may have to have the pledged shares sold by the pledgee. I may be 100% wrong.

32.59 is the EPS of trailing 4 Qtrs till last qtr.
P/E= Price / EPS
last 4 Qtr EPS is 36 now so PE on CMP Rs 201= 5.58
Book value:
That is the net asset of a company after deducting all liabilities divided by the number of Stocks of the company.
By general knowledge you may say that the company shares should be traded at the book value. But as a stock analyst this may not be a fair thing to say.
You need to couple Book Value and EPS to arive at a fair price of a stock.
Take for example, a stock has a book value of 100 and its EPS is 12. Also the company EPS is growing at a rate of 15% per year. This will mean that the company book value will be on rise in future too. So at the end of year 1 we are very sure that the book value will stand at 115, 2nd year 132.25 and so on. So you approximately know that by 4 years the book value will be around 200. Thus when your other investments may be at say 120, your BV will be 200. Thus you may discount the current book value by a fair factor.
Usually a book value is multiplied by a factor of 3-10 depending on the company`s growth patterns.
Current book value:156.34(as per indiaearnings)so Price/BV=1.3
As you have bought@600,the sensible way out is to average out by buying in 150-200 range and wait for a few years you will surely recover your losses and make some money too.

ICSA was at Rs. 340 from where in F & O segment it came down to Rs. 142, when no major change took place in the fortune of company. The acquisition was done at rs. 155 range. The next day scrip jumped tp Rs. 227. I was commenting in that context....

Dear Sir,
Do not jump to conclusions without reading the release statement properly. It is said that the pledged shares have been released not sold in market.

Indiabulls in collusion with Promoters could have done this, as the Promoters bought beaten down stock in one big chunk, which is normally not sold by any individual investor. This only erodes Promoters credibility, as it was very clear that in F & O the stock was systematically hammered and brought down to Rs. 142. Promoters picked up at Rs. 155.

Indiabulls sold pledged shares of ICSA in the past few days. Does it mean that the promoter who had pledged shares of ICSA with indiabulls in Nov Dec is now deprived of his holding?? If that`s the case then promoter holding has now fallen to 9-10%.
Wait and watch

These Hyderabad based companies are famous for showing inflated numbers. So always discount their numbers by 50-75%. Also many shares pledged with IndiaBulls, ILFS etc are being sold in market nowdays. Exit on every rise....

Hi sandyp
I would like to request you to please let us know the reasons why ICSA should fall to 100 and below. What valuation parameters have you referred to in making this projection?
It does not any make sense to go about projecting any random figures without giving the underlying reasons on which the hypothesis is based.

ICSA India Limited has shown impressive results:
Short Analysis of September 2008 Results:
Sales 2795.15 million, (up 91.15% YOY, 15.74% QOQ)
EBIDITA (excluding other income) 729.43 million, (up 95.59% YOY, 16.83% QOQ)
Profit before Tax (excluding other income) 640.69 million, (up 83.45% YOY, 16.20% QOQ)
According to this analysis if one does not consider other income then, actual performance of ICSA India Limited gets reflected and it appears to be very impressive 83.45% growth, instead of 66% growth in Profit Before Tax (PBT)
Growth in PBT is 83.45% lesser than 91.15% growth in Sales due to higher rise in interest expenses.
Future prospect of ICSA can be attractive if it secures huge contracts in embedded technology division, otherwise one cannot say much.
But considering the total situation ICSA appears to be the 2nd Best Buy in current Indian Share Market at lower levels of 110-80, with long term horizon.
This is just an analysis and the writer would not be responsible at all.

It is his DUTY to SURVIVE his Co. IN MARKET to enhance his goodwill / reputation to BORROW some MONEY from FINANCIAL institution / FII. OK

Dear cheetguy,
how can you call it bad results?
Q2 result from NSE website:
Sales: Rs 279.51 cr vs Rs 146.23 cr(sep 07) UP 91%
Profit(+)/Loss(-) from Ordinary Activities before tax Rs 64.03 cr vs Rs 38.99 cr (sep 07) UP 65%
Tax Rs 16 cr vs Rs 9.63 cr
Net Profit Rs 48.03 cr vs Rs 28.88 cr (sep07) UP 66%
Basic EPS Rs 10.91 vs 7.31
Diluted EPS Rs 9.38
Equity cap Rs 8.8 cr vs Rs 8.1 cr
ICSA has maintained its growth momentum in this quarter too. Available around PE of 5. Please tell me the company who are touching almost Rs 1000 cr turnover doing 50% QoQ, I would like to invest in them.As far as SandyP is concerned if stock touches 100 a new target of Rs 60 will be given by extrapolation.

My mistake my friends even i am stuck in this stock from 600 levels and i am sure you people too are. I too love this scrip this company is growing. secondly the reason for i saying they are bad results is i missinterpreated 17 % growth quater 07 to quater 08 in the above message. Now i know its 17 % more from last quater. and overall growth is 66% 2Q07 to 2Q08. Secondly you all will get a chance to buy this scrip again at 138. This scrip posts a PAT of +- 8 to 9 crs every quater. I am heavily invested i this scrip about 40% of my folio. I dont want to hurt any ones sentiments but its a small company and if it keeps growing they way it is definately it will be next infosys in comming years. But dont want to trade this scrip. will buy the same number of scrip i do have at pesent around 130-140 levels and forget this scrip... ...
