Precisely correct as due to delay in Gas production and finalisation of pricing due to RNRL case the fert stocks are getting weak other wise i believe if ones buy here for 3-4 months perspective would earn handsome profits.

Nfcl has been suffering in the hands of short sellers. After reaching 44 ------with no news ,gas getting delayed , and tip off from US market slide etc nfcl was hammered by smart short sellers.

Whenever it makes 20-30% advances it attracts short sellers like it happens with essaroil, ifci, ispat etc.

I dont think it has great fundamentals to become a multibagger inspite of the fact that fertilisers are in short supply. The otherday there was a news item regarding some dharana on fertiser short supply in AP .

Its a govt controlled industry. The clutches are very strong. All farmers have to become stinkingly rich to buy fertilisers if the Govt chooses to decontrol.

When nfcl enters dividend list then it may gain its past glory. Otherwise it will be in the range of 45-50 till Jan2009.

Is it the right time to buy. I think yes.

I hold Nfcl in my portfolio.

But your EPS projection does not support your thesis of great returns from fertilizer stocks. Rs 3 for FY10 for nagarjuna is a pittance, madam. if true, it is better to sell the stock....

Madam, what about FY11 ? Will FY11 EPS be much better ? Else FY10 EPS of Rs 3 - Rs 3.20 can support a price of 50-60 Rs and not more.

Can you throw light on how much the power costs will come down by switching to gas from KG, and what is the expected EPS for next 2 to 3 years ? I believe there is going to be huge savings, but no one so far has quantified it.
