December 21, 2012 has been prophesied as the date when the world, AS WE KNOW IT (LOL) will end. In the sense, mother earth will still be around, but its children wont....so are these predictions true??????????????
Both Mayan Calendar drawn up over 2000 years ago and the ancient Chinese I-Ching Oracle mention 21-12-2012 as the date of extinction. Mayan astronomers were very accurate - they have calculated astronomical positions and events for the future that have so far been proved correct. The Hindu Calendar however talks about doomsday in a general manner. According to the Hindu Calendar, we are now in Kaliyug (the age of decayed values)and when the world turns we will enter Satya yuga (benevolent age) There is one thing common in all doomsday theories - the world will live in a period of intense moral decay that will be brought to an end by the doomsday even, and there is no doubt that we are living in such an age.
Now many skeptics will pooh pooh the end-of-world theories and agree that moral decadence has nothing to do with the end of the world. They could be right but there is some scientific data that conclusively prove that two astronomical events will affect mother earth on 21-12-2012
EVENT I: According to astronomers on 21-12-2012, the elliptic plane of our solar system will intersect with the galactic plane of the Milky Way at the center of the galaxy precisely where the galactic gravity is the strongest.
Event II: The sun will begin a new solar cycle in 2012. In a new solar cycle, the sun is at its explosive worst - it acts as though it has been caught in a fit by releasing solar flares, chemicals and hot gases.
The extra strong gravity of the first event will freak out the sun and all life on earth may be burnt to death.
