dear hansal
you were expecting 5100 end oct sries but did not happen . now we are close to5100 closing in nov . your calls are 80 percent correct. but nobody can predict 100 percent. what i gather that dec end and jan good for cement sector. india cements seems to be botttomed out . may get one blip to 98 and will move fast up. sail as you suggested i will buy 3 lots on dip lets say 178 anytime in dec and can easily roll over for 6 months or more .
another noises suggest petronet in dec for 78 and india hotels to 95 and 98 before dec or early jan . ongc also likely to spurt in dec around 1280 to 1330.
i am deeply stuck with adag group . 5 futures of rel com and 2 of rnrl . . dec may be between 4800 and 5350. any comments and thanks...

Wall Street rallied on Monday, with the S&P set to reverse a three-day sell-off, as a weak U.S. dollar and better-than-expected home sales data encouraged investors.

The National Association of Realtors said sales of previously owned U.S. homes rose at a faster-than-expected pace to the highest in more than 2-1/2 years. The Dow Jones U.S. Home Construction index .D

T P Raman is Managing Director, Sundaram BNP Paribas Asset Management said : The investing environment now appears more difficult in terms of choices than was the case six months ago. Equities have had a tearing on the back of liquidity in emerging markets and on economic parameters not declining in the manner they did in Q 4 of 2008 and Q 1 of 2009. Valuations are no longer attractive and are in fair value territory.

Emerging markets as an asset class trade at price earnings multiples that are similar to developed markets. In the sense that the growth prospects are completely different, a premium could emerge and be sustained.

The International Monetary Fund has sold 200 tonnes of gold to the Reserve Bank of India for $6.7 billion, quietly executing half of a long-planned bullion sale that has threatened to slow gold`s ascent.

The deal, which surprised traders who expected China to be the most likely buyer, will relieve the gold market of some uncertainty over how and when the IMF would sell 403.3 tonnes of gold, about one-eighth of its total stock. The deal will increase India`s gold holdings to the tenth largest among central banks.

2:00 pm : The broader equity market continues to move sideways after steadying its descent from midmorning highs.

Energy stocks had been early leaders, but a pullback in oil prices has caused the sector to pare its position. Oil prices have pulled back $2 to trade at $77.90 per barrel, still up 0.5% for the session, though. The energy sector had been up as much as 2.9%, but is now trading with a 1.7% gain.
