Tracked by: 0 Boarder U S Co Acquires an arm of L & TPosted by : Date :18th Nov, 2009 - 14:33 BSE: Rs 1629.80 ( -1.59 % ), NSE: Rs. 1628.60 ( -1.67 % )I think its cleaning its house and getting ready for a new and shining L&T. Hence all non core business units which does not fit within in core profile (that of an engineering concern) is being disposed off. So that it can move quicker as a giant. Sales proceeds on disposal of such units is just not material for the company. Its just like clearing the house which were cluttered with non essential items- Imagine the feel u have in entering such a house after u have disposed off the not required items....
Tracked by: 0 Boarder Buy & hold Larsen !!!!Posted by : Date :10th Nov, 2009 - 15:59 BSE: Rs 1593.75 ( -0.36 % ), NSE: Rs. 1593.80 ( -0.48 % )Read that Shankar Sharma is of the view Indian market will fall 20% and go back to 12500 levels. He does not say when this will happen. Ofcourse he cannot predict- so then why give such inaccurate statements in the first place and claim to be an analyst. Readers are advised to exercise caution on such statements dished out by such analyst. They have always gone wrong in the past and will be even now. Having said that, please be cautious to buy only in dips. There will be plenty of such corrections. Volatiliy will be the rule of the market. So keep researching and find value picks....
Tracked by: 0 Boarder What needs to be done on this counterPosted by : Date :9th Nov, 2009 - 10:28 BSE: Rs 38.60 ( 0.52 % ), NSE: Rs. 38.95 ( 0.65 % )Growth of the broking firms are directly linked to the fortunes in the stock market. So if the markets were to increase in the next two to three years, you could find Geojit too going up in the same direction. Geojit is essentially a retail broking firm and has in the past tied up with BNP. Association with BNP should yeild good results and its only a question of time. I am sure they are working hard to ensure they have a sustainable business model. Also remember, India is on a growth path and this will be seen only after 2-3 years. Till then have patience and hold on to your dreams. ...
Tracked by: 0 Boarder Is it not strange? What is the difference?Posted by : Date :5th Nov, 2009 - 01:14 BSE: Rs 1194.10 ( 8.10 % ), NSE: Rs. 1195.90 ( 8.31 % )Well said. This is the fact and its the fear of failure and the element of greed which brings our downfall. India is a growth story and will give HUGE RETURNS in a period of 5-6 years. Till then keep shopping for gems and buy in dips. Dont read what the analyst say. They are wrong 9.5 times out of 10. Be your own guide. Research and be street smart....
Tracked by: 0 Boarder theyPosted by : Date :27th Oct, 2009 - 12:53 BSE: Rs 31.80 ( -4.36 % ), NSE: Rs. 31.85 ( -4.21 % )Why wait for Mr Murthy. Read and research for oneself what this company is all about, its sector, role of government in managing the output, integrity of management and opportunity cost of funds. Then u can make your own judgement. Remember, if you go purely based on ROI, then be happy that NFCL is not the only stock we have in the Indian Stock Market. Keep looking for gems elsewhere. Be your own guide....
Tracked by: 1 Boarder Buy Larsen & ToubroPosted by : Date :26th Oct, 2009 - 13:57 BSE: Rs 1611.30 ( 2.54 % ), NSE: Rs. 1611.00 ( 2.59 % )Just do not believe any analyst. If they say sell- then do the exact opposite. In this case too. L&T is a long term growth story- a minimum of 5-6 years. If you have the patience stay invested and reap HUGE BENEFITS. Its better to pick the stock at this level than say, 10,000 after 5-6 years. Look for dips and buy in small lots. It will have no significant impact at the end of the race.
... Tracked by: 0 Boarder Who is Sanju verma to commentPosted by : Date :23rd Oct, 2009 - 16:14 BSE: Rs 1571.35 ( -2.31 % ), NSE: Rs. 1570.40 ( -2.45 % )So unlike trading companies wherein the impact on net profit and turnover is known immediately if stocks are not sold, in the case of L&T turnover is a mix of several complicated accounting issues. So billing recognised based on stage of project comppletion. Risk is on delays in project, which, as a professionally managed company they know how to mitigate these risks. So topline will be achieved. Its a question of time. As in the past, please DO NOT BELIEVE THE ANALYST. They are wrong 9.5 times out of 10. And in this case they are no better. I see unusual selling in L&T. Is this because someone is desparately selling L&T? Is this somehow related to the recent hedge fund fraud in the US? Galleon funds- the fund manager who has been recently caught by the US? Are they selling in the background? Anyway, any downward price is welcome- pl buy at dips. Remember L&T will reward albiet slow- because its projects are just large in size being executed. And when it runs- it will gallop....
