If you cant book the losses then don`t play in stock markets .
If you cant handle criticism don`t express your views .
If you cant handle abuse don`t get into public forum .

It doesn`t matter how good or bad one is .
But being able to adjust to variety of people is essence of social living .

Quit if u wish to but let it be clear that there is no dignity in it !

Best of luck to all sincere souls .

Dear sd3

RBI is just sowing the seeds of Indian sub-prime by promoting housing mania in India the fruits of tht wld be seen later.

Wht further evidence u need sir to recognise tht 10rs is new paisa and 100rs is nw the new 10rs?

Everythin is getting costlier day by day thanks to Congress Raj and here we have a minister who says on records nothin wld get cheap for next 3 months. Thank you minister we can see tht already thn wht the hell are u doing??

RBI is in double whammy bcos loan disbursal haven`t seen a meaningful uptick since stock markets recovered so QIP`s were back in vogue and easier means to raise money simply bcos corporates prefer equity dilution to debt anyday.

So RBI can raise interest rates but tht wld further heighten global imbalances bcos FED won`t follow and ppl wld continue to borrow in US and take higher return home as they have been doing till now.

RBI needs to manage liquidity so it wld first start with CRR rathr than raising REPO or reverse Repo for tht matter is wht i feel.

Gold was slated to hit 1200 despite BSR calling aloud tht Gold is speculator`s currency, yellow metal which has no dividend value nor does anyone pays interest (see by nw i remember his dialogues even as i hv read tht so often)

But sir gold is just benefitting from weakness in greenback since USD is getting beaten right and left for an extended period too nw it seems.

Neways Above 1150 game changes a little and traders may well choose to book profits.

DJIA is also rallying on weakness in USD and rejoicing to FED`s music tht interest rates wld remain low for an extended period.

So once 10600 is taken out on DJIA if the game continues like this u wld continue to see higher levels but the problem is strength in equities is on the back of an extremely weak economy thereby purely suggestin tht in the long run Dollar is getting depleted in terms of value it can buy today.

Game ovr or changer in this entire thing wld be unwinding of stimulus packages by central banks world ovr hwever u wld see heightened drama whn these same bankers realise thr priorities are different than each othr.

Not all of them were markeeting thr BONDS like US did aftr all

Leverage squeeze not exactly bcos it hasn`t reached the levels before sub-prime yet

Cheers

`Why did Buffet invested into Burlington, why not into some Gen next tech, why into the good old Brick and Mortar cos`???

Some facts are as under

1)Out of the total Energy consumption in the world, roughly 27-29% goes for transpotation, and carbon emission data per person/mode of transport is as under

a)Avaition 150mg per head

b)Car 100mg per head

c)Public transport(bus)14mg per head

d)Railways a mearge 2mg per head.

The day small island/countries like maldives will start to go under water the Climate control protocol will become order of the day and railways being most energy efficient will surely benefit.

Some BS views:The stone age didn`t came to end because of scarcity of stones, not did Bronze, and copper age ended with scarcity of materials.similarly man will not stop to travel due to these carbon emmission, surely humans will sooner/later find clean energy sources.

The above are jus views not a call to buy Suzlon,NHPC or titagarh wagons etc....LOL

Here comes the super predictions of mine hitting bulls-eye in the Lok Sabha Plls, not the Stock Markets. Apart from lifaylon, I did not see any others making a daring statement about the chances of UPA returning to power. Given below is a copy/paste of my predictions:-

-----Congress will be the single largest party and together with allies will just run short of the magic number 272.

Congress- 168-185
UPA allies- 80-88
Total UPA – 248-272

BJP – 110-120
NDA allies – 48-58
Total NDA – 158-175

3rd Front – 101-112

Others 9-11-----

You can compare with the actual results.

WHY INDIANS GET ATTACKED ABROAD???

It was the first day of a school in USA and a new Indian student named Chandrasekhar Subramanian entered the fourth grade.

The teacher said, `Let`s begin by reviewing some American History. Who said `Give me Liberty, or give me Death`?`

She saw a sea of blank faces, except for Chandrasekhar, who had his hand up: `Patrick Henry, 1775` he said.

`Very good! Who said `Government of the People, by the People, for the People, shall not perish from the Earth?`

Again, no response except from Chandrasekhar. `Abraham Lincoln, 1863` said Chandrasekhar.

The teacher snapped at the class, `Class, you should be ashamed. Chandrasekhar, who is new to our country, knows more about its history than you do.`

She heard a loud whisper: `F*ck the Indian s,`

`Who said that?` she demanded. Chandrasekhar put his hand up. `General Custer, 1862.`

At that point, a student in the back said, `I`m gonna puke.`

The teacher glares around and asks `All right! Now, who said that?` Again, Chandrasekhar says, `George Bush to the Japanese Prime Minister, 1991.`

Now furious, another student yells, `Oh yeah? Suck this!`

Chandrasekhar jumps out of his chair waving his hand and shouts to the teacher , `Bill Clinton, to Monica Lewinsky,1997`

Now with almost mob hysteria someone said `You little shit. If you say anything else, I`ll kill you.` Chandrasekhar frantically yells at the top of his voice, ` Michael Jackson (RIP) to the child witnesses testifying against him- 2004.`

The teacher fainted. And as the class gathered around the teacher on the floor, someone said, `Oh shit, we`re screwed!` And Chandrasekhar said quietly, `I think it was the American people, November 4th, 2008

Dear Tony,

You mentioned that you have tracked my Nifty Futures (NF) trading calls given in my home page for the last 10 days, and that you will start actual trading from tomorrow. In this connection, I give herebelow my GUIDELINES FOR NF TRADING:

1. Only after tracking my NF trading calls given in my home page for full 10 trading days & satisfying about high rate of success, one should get into actual trading.

2. One should start actual trading with ONLY ONE LOT & not more than one lot, and the funds required for this purpose is approximately 32,000 (orginal investment). This amount should be strictly out of one`s savings, and one should not resort to borrowings to start this trading.

3. The sucess rate of my NF trading calls is 7 out of 10, with chances of 3 out of 10 hitting the stop loss. Hence one should trade with STRICT STOP LOSS mentioned by me.

4. I give the call only if & when there is a possibility of earning 50 points. So my Target 1 will be exactlty 50 points, and Target 2 will be approximately 25-30 points from T1.

5. After taking a position and once the T1 is 15 points away, you should place your order for booking the profit at 50 points from your purchase price. You should never aim at T2 in the beginning, and be satisfied with only 50 points gain. Similarly, this is a day trading call, and hence the position should not be carried over to next day under any circumstances.

6. Any of the days, if your stop loss is hit, next day you can aim at Target 2 to recover your previous day`s loss.

7. Once you trade in NF as above for full one month, you should be reasonably able to earn profits equal to/above your original investment. Only after this is achieved, you can start trading in TWO LOTS.

8. About 15-20 days from the date of starting your two lots trade, you will be able to earn profits equal to your original investment of 32K, which promptly should be transferred to your bank account, and continue to trade in two lots only, WITHOUT ANY FEAR as the funds deployed thereafter in daily trading will be the profits earned by you.

9. Once you start earning daily profits from out of FREE TWO LOTS as mentioned in para 8 above, these profits can be utilised to invest in POTENTIAL MULTIBAGGERS listed in my home page.

IF YOU TRADE IN NIFTY FUTURES WITHOUT ANY GREED, AND WITH STRICT COMPLIANCE OF THE ABOVE GUIDELINES, WITHIN 45 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF YOUR STARTING THE NF TRADING WITH 32K INVESTMENT, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO 1)WITHDRAW YOUR ORIGINAL INVESTMENT, 2)EARN FREE 2 NF LOTS, 3)KEEP EARNING MONTHLY RETURNS TO INVEST IN POTENTIAL MULTIBAGGERS.

Now my calculations & assumptions: Only 20 calls in a month, out of which 6 can fail, giving 14 successful trades, loss incurred in 6 failed trades will be recovered next day with Target 2 aim, total profit = 50 points per lot of 50 NF = 50x50 = 2500 per day multiplied by 14 successful trading days = 2500 x 14 = 35,000 less brokerage 3000 = net profit = 32,000.

A RETURN OF 100% PER MONTH ON THE ORIGINAL INVESTMENT OF 32,000.

Disclaimer: Nifty Futures trading is subject to market risk & my trading calls can fail beyond my claim of 3 out of 10 due to human failure. Follow my trade calls only with risk inherent in such trades.

ALL THE BEST. Rgrds.

kadiyali.

I`ve been thinking about my childhood Ma,
Of all the things I took for granted
Your love, sacrifice, devotion and tears,
That you gave so generously to my 50 years.

I know now it was love Ma,
You rushed to be with me, at my first call
Without you today, I feel orphaned...forlorn
It’s just so hard for me to believe
That you are really gone.

Did I ever tell you Ma,
Just how much you meant to me?
For all the times I did not say
The love I felt for you every day.
For all the times I did not call
Coz something came up as I picked up the phone
Today I have all the time,
But you`re not there, I am all alone
How I wish I could have
Just one more time, to show I cared -
To say, just how lovely
Were, all those times we shared.

I learned to love and care from you,
Watching your caring ways.
I learned about sorrow and joy from you
From our sad, funny yesterdays.
You taught me to forget and forgive
Trespasses both big and small.
You taught me how to live.
When you gave my life your all.

I want to celebrate the life you lived
No one Ma,is quite like you.
For everything I am today,
Your love Ma, showed me the way
Every day, I hope, to my girls I can be
A mother like the mom you were to me.

Dear Moderator,

The code of Conduct being currently proposed by you is Draconian both in its content and intent. While all Boarders understand that Moneycontrol and CNBC TV 18 are commercial ventures with Profit motive it is better you do not bow to pressure from vested interests trying to curtail the free flow of information.

The earlier COC covered abuse, foul language, casteism, communalism and gender bias. It received broad support from all Boarders. Being a Web Forum the identity of Boarders was protected and the misdeeds of Promoters and Companies was freely exposed by Boarders.

Manipulators and Operators have had a free run of Indian Capital Markets for decades(My experience is a mere 30 yrs). The track record of SEBI the guardian angel of Indian Investors is pathetic. They keep making new Laws but their record in pursuit and prosecution of cases is limp, both in intent and outcome.

The record of the "Company Law Board" another august body is so dubious that India boasts a record in "the number of listed Public Limited Companies that vanished`. A small Investor like me has a small suitcase filled with share certificates of these missing Companies. We are talking here of Profitable Dividend paying companies, since I have never bought junk stocks.

Then we come to the role played by Auditors. None of the malpractices we see in the Corporate World would have flourished without a wink and nod from these sentries.

The nexus of Politicians/Bureaucrats/Industrialists/Criminals is looting our Country in front of our nose. Should we not protest it. The Telecom scam of Spectrum allocation has cost our Country approx 55000 Crores. The SEZ Policies is basically land grabbing and hoarding with tax benefits - benefit to Oligarchs is 1,50,000 Crores. What is "Participatory Note" route for FII inflow? Nothing but routing of illicit laundered Funds from abroad.

Navigating the Indian Markets for Investors is like swimming Oceans filled with dangerous Sharks of varying sizes. Instead of trying to supress free speech you should take an initiative to welcome a "Whistle Blower" policy. Please do not be a part of the game of the Ruling classes to appropriate all the Wealth of the Country to themselves.

We Indians have tolerated Corruption, incompetence and more for too long a time. Now we Indian citizens and taxpayers want to tell our Politicians and Government servants, please perform or perish.

Moderator we want to have an Answer from your Management as to whose side you are on? Are you on the side of the Looters,Exploiters and Manipulators OR are you on the side of the honest, hard working,Tax paying Indian who is fighting to build a better Country with better values. Your answer will tell us Boarders as to where we really stand. We will also be able to understand on which side of the divide is Moneycontrol "rolling its dice".

God Bless!

Goldchest.

Addressed to  MMB Moderator,  Udayan Mukherjee

13th June is a special day.
And I want to send,
Most special greetings,
To a most special friend.

Udayan Mukherjee,
“ Barely “ 6 feet tall.
But when it comes to the Markets,
He towers above all.

Dressed in his spurs , Always looking his best.
Strides the markets , keeps his peers distressed.
Don`t mess with him,
You will be (ever so gently) verbally processed!

Speaks English like she must be spoke.
Loves Hindi out-a-sight.
His politics are something else --
Like Yechuri, but to the right!

Udayan, for you I have chosen a great present;
Not expensive tie, champagne or pheasant .
But a limricky poem — some humour
To dispel the old rumour,
That presents are always pleasant!

To write you this gift,
I have taken some time.
Sending it to the Mod first,
Lets see if you/he/she want to edit /delete/red flag..
My beeeooootiful rhyme.

Hey Superman, be prepared
No praises to air,
The truth , nothing but the truth.
Today you won`t be spared!

MMB !! Behold this young man!
Renowned for his articulate ways
With wisdom and whining,
And eyes , ever shining.
The market hangs on
To everything he says

Is he “adventury”?
No . At his core
A store of market knowledge.
He belongs to the 18th century,
He is such a bore!

He follows the lads in Red .
Who these days rarely win.
Is it this - or his Art collection plummeting
That`s made his hair go thin?

He just sits around and talks,
About the Nifty, Sensex and the Dow
And that`s “work “.WOW!!
And his taste in music and sport
Is past it`s best ? Yes it is !
Like the dumb team that he supports.

A cricket fan who loves soccer
And goes to the Arsenal game
The footwork ,the field, the fans ;
Everything is different
Even the colours aren’t the same.

From boring games to “board “games
Aww..It really isn`t fair
He is the show stopper, Way above others
Kinda lonely at the top?
He should consider solitaire..

He is obsessed with cars
So I think it`s such a pity
He didn`t become a Traffic Cop
In good ole Mumbai City.

Fast cars are a young man`s game
When older, it gets harder
He should get a car to suit his age
How`s about an Ambassador...??

It`s true that he is good looking
Kinda handsome some have said
But why does he wear his hair
Superglued to his head?

With advancing years
He has gained maturity,
That can`t be denied.
He is soooo special,
It`s sooo hard to be rude,
But believe me I have tried !

He has been such a market man
Through all Her highs and lows
Happy to see the subtle grin back
`Neath that famous famous nose.

Okay Udayan, I am done... finished;
Go take a break !
Have you finished reading?
You’ve burned enough calories
To have your birthday cake!

But Hey, just a sec,
I think I heard you say
You will get up on the table and dance
When we again cross 20 K ?

And though I am tempted
To hold you to that,
Do take care.
You ain`t no John Travolta
And certainly no Fred Astaire.

But these reactions make you human,
“Like Federer winning the French Open”
And makes everyone love you more.
With you around, they always know
That good times are in store.

There`s a birthday drink on the Cards.
In my poem
This is the most generous line I`d say.
Have a bucket of wine and a smashing time,
Tomorrow... your special day ...

And even though on your homepage
You are eternally 35
Didn`t you know ,
37 is the new 25?

Phew!! Gotta go.
For now Son, lots of love,
And blessings in every way.
Just know ,you are kinda special
And yes.....before I forget.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
:)

Words of wisdom from Rakesh Jhunjhunwala
One of India`s savviest stock market players - India`s Warren Buffett.

`Enter the market when no one else does`

Jhunjhunwala takes the cue from Warren Buffett when he says: "Most people get interested in stocks when everyone else is. The time to get interested is when no one else is. You can`t buy what is popular and do well."

Don`t follow stock picks by big investors

Remember: the market is always right

You can never be taught about market, you have to learn it

You must balance fear and greed
Jhunjhunwala says he is `well invested` in key growth areas like banking, retailing and infrastructure, all of which are based on India`s domestic performance.

His private equity interests offer more detail -- education (private schools in Mumbai), hospitals and health care, a security company, pharmaceuticals, and dredging.

`Markets are like women -- always volatile`

"Markets are like women -- always commanding, mysterious, unpredictable and volatile," `Big Bull` Rakesh Jhunjhunwala had told a gathering in Mumbai a few months back.

For Jhunjhunwala, trading by the hunches is the best thing to do. "If in doubt, listen to your heart," is what he tells young investors. Given below are some investment gems from him:
 Be optimistic
 Be opportunistic
 Study the market thoroughly
 Maximise profits and minimise losses
Invest in a business not a company
 Have an independent opinion, always
Be happy with your gains but take losses in your stride
 Be prepared for risks

And for beginners in the stock market, this is what he has to say:
Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it
 Do something you love
The means are as important as the end
 Aspire, but never envy
Be paranoid of success -- never take it for granted. Realise success can be temporary and transient
Build a fighting spirit -- take the bad with the good
When you see a horizon, it seems so distant. When you reach that horizon, you will realize how many more horizons are within reach.
