I am staying in Vasant kunj,Delhi. My parental home is in model town , ROHTAK. For all purposes I was born & brought up in delhi , schoolig ,collage everything.I am a professinal , having small consultancy offices in vasant kunj, & gurgaon. My profession is very far removed from the financial world , of stocks & shares. I am not a trader, & only dabble in stocks for the fun of it . A long term investor you may say, who doesnt mind taking profits, at every oppotuinity.I dont wait .I have grown fond of this board & feel we can xchange & talk more social causes apart from stock & shares on this forum. I have nothing to say on your assesment of the total senario. This is not a fight, or confronment to industrialization or anything like that .It is simply a matter of of my fundamental right, & not a simple matter as maruti , zen or nano. You are restricting your self to a very small sphere of HUMANITY. Tata, Mamta & NANO.These are very basic material things , which are far , far away from the basic question. The way you are describing the whole scene is not in good taste, or you are not xposed to the nation, or dont want to look beyont your own life & existance. No body is against industrialization, but all the good citizens of the country, want to it fairly implimented , & that's , not a great deal.
Let me xplain your message , so that other boarders also understand it more clearly.

All the people of french town were protesting, in front of the palace of the empror. The princes asked why are these people protesting. The courtier replied , they are hungry & have no food to eat. The princes replied if they have no food to eat, they can have bread. Simple....

say that if you believe in market economy, then stick to it. Tata wants the bread & have it buttered both sides as well. This cant happen every decade. no profits @ of subsidise....

What you are saying is right , but we cannot also ignore the fact that development has to go on & land is reqd for urbanization . As such the state or central agencies have to have a proper system on land management. Right now govt is acquiring land , without putting any thought , on the type of land to be aquired. The land aquization officials are doing a mathematical job, rather than giving a thought into the type of land to be aquired for given purpose.
The 2nd most important problem is ' Why should Govt aquire land for private enterprise. Its a free economy, the private should aquire land directly from who's so ever land belongs to, me or u or any one else. Simple as that.
We have out dated archic laws, from british times which govern the aquization of land by the govt, which are just not in tune with time.
State govts are literraly grabbing land under the cover of that archic section.
THIS IS WHAT IS TERMED AS ' ROBBING PAUL TO PAY PETER'/

When so much anomlies/ faults are in the land aquization law,SO THE HEART burning , protests & suicides , & then the ugly politicians step in to make matters worse, & every thing comes to stand still , & everyone is a loser xcept the dirty politicians, who has no interest in anything xcept himself.
In singur case tata should have acted more 'GENTLEMANLY', rather than a mere shopkeper, asking CM of WB to fight for him.
If he would have wanted , he could have easily solved the matter with the farmers directly, & not black mailed the entire nation. This cry baby immage of TATA will not be forgotten by the general public & specially his share holders. thanks gaba jee for reading all this.May be we can differ on many counts , but this is what I KNOW.

May be , you must be aware, or maybe you are a newbee, Earlier before ninties Tata ordinary now TISCO, TELCO, were ONLY KNOWN AS 'Widows' shares. Means only FD, with hardly any capital appriciation.
It is only with SWARAJ PALS' FIASCO with 'ESCORTS & DCM TEXTILES'on take over attemts that some people got to know the stock mkt. And then DHIRU BHAI & RELIANCE made the share cult popular. Tata's were just self centered isolated closed conceitous group. IT is we & you who have brought them into open. ...

Friend, dont get yourself bogged down in such anylisis of stocks... Frankly if you ask me , the whole stock market has no logic.There is no great funda, mathematics or system involved in this market. You want to belive the movement of stocks Is as per all these given ratios , invented by these anylists, hang on to it, & invest or trade as per the charts or what ever you call it.
I am not a great lover of these, superfluos parameters, which you can mould as per your wish. If you think, these ratios give xact or more or less xact prices, then it would become 'science' & nobody will fail. Some people turned these ratios into 'bible' & you know what happened.
I only see these ratios as a passing information, & dont necessarily act on such things.
I strongly believe, that this stock su-raj diamonds will, give tremendous returns, sooner or a little later. Every such stock has its cycle, charted by operators in collaboration with the promotors.
Time has come for this stock now.

dear Nodik and Gaba, very good posts... in fact very sensible.. Policy makers have to be very careful while green signalling the usage for fertile lands for industrilization. I was surprised to know that in one southern state, approximately 2 lakh acres of fertile land has been either identified or acquired for setting up of SEZs. This is scary infact...population is growing.. cultivatable land is limited.. and out of that limited land , such huge chunks are taken for industrilization...not really a healthy sign. regards...

dear nodik, efforts of tata group to give much dreamt small car NANO to the citizens should be lauded and not criticized.It isa dream from the days of sanjay gandhi,but unfortunately he could not and the maruti of his dreams turned out to be the popular family car of india,though at a much higher price than the envisaged price of one lac.Now tata has accepted the challenge and mucst be appreciated,you know very well who are at the losers end when nano is lauched. do not talk of poor farmers,land is being aquired in all the states at a much low rate than the market price,there is enough provision in land aquisition act 1894 for court references for low compensation,do not talk of hypocrisy of communists,if they are so much worried really about the future of poor farmers why did they industrialise their state and start land aquisition for companies,where war mamta then?let them be a farmers state and work for the welfare of farmers only,how many of farmers are ready to acceptback their lands if tatas shift nano plant to other state?why govt of wb and mamta has come to negotiations?for how many years maruti be allowed to dump the old and outdated models of maruti 800 and zen and esteem?is there no need to change?a healthy competition is always welcome and is in the interest of nation and industry and by and large in the interest of ultimate consumers,tatas efforts to offers nano at so much reasonable rather cheap rate must be appresiated,it is an unprecented event in this inflation infected economy,tatas should move out from hypocrite statelike WB as early as possible and should move to gujarat or maharashtra or karnataka as early as possible ...

There will be a good market demand for these Nano cars not only in INDIA but also abroad in view of the oil price. The Crude price might be lower now but it cannot be for ever. People in abroad are started using Natural gas along with gasoline. The private vehicles are must for most of the people all over the world. Big cars like companion are rare visibilities in recent days because of high consumption of gas and also small family theory. Even in our own town we can see more small cars of Maruthi, Santro, and Indica than Ambasdors etc… Under this scenario Tata must think of manufacturing (Assembling) Nano Cars in different part of the country and consider having a big Ancillary support. This will help in meeting the requirements at controlled cost, quality and quantity. I don’t know why Tata’s are thinking of setting up ancillary units in those 400 acres fertile land which agitators think produces more return than the benefits by the ancillary’s setup. Rails and Roads are national agenda for improvements .Transportation of finished goods from ancillaries may not be an issue for Tata’s Nano project if they are situated outside West Bengal. I think Politics and others spoiled the whole issue in this Tata Nano project at Singanur. ...

Nicely put. Do u think that these politicians will do such work merely for the sake of development of the State? What disturbs me more is that atleast some major portion of the land for the proposed site of Nano Project in Pant Nagar will be acquired from the national-level famous Agricultural University in Pant Nagar. Do u think that the University was having surplus land that the students could not use for their studies there? ...

dear Nodik, I do accept some of the points mentioned by you and the Tata\\`s hypocricy. Infact they are trying to get benefitted from this issue in every possible manner while they are facing the problem of providing the Nano at the said price of one lakh. Tatas always say they dont like retrenchment.But they did it many a times and every time they come with sugar coated words. They were so reluctant for TCS IPO when there was real steam in it.When the entire IT services sector crossed the high growth phase, they let TCS came for IPO. On the other hand, in industries with less NPM , they were always having very less holdings... It can be summarized as \\` privatize gains and socialize pains \\`. Howmany people know KK Birla? The one with real humanity.Just to establish an educational institute like BITS pilani, one needs to spend more than 3000 crores for the capex itself apart from the regular funding for the smooth functioning of the institute. And it is only a part of this greatman\\`s charity program.And to everyone\\`s surprise, this group is only 10000 crore group( in terms of Indian Rupees) and no where in comparision to Tatas. But no one gives the due credit this great human-being deserves. There is more to the issue in Singur than what one can see. Every party involved in the issue is having its own interest including Tatas. When the country is having more serious issues like Kashmir and the episode in Orissa and the higher inflation and the severe infrastructure bottlenecks... unnecessarily media is wrongly projecting it as the biggest issue in the country.And naturally the entire industrial community is supporting it. Hope citizens of this country will use their dicretion in the right time in the right manner. regards...
