Dear Ramesh,

I am not a big fan of OMCs as they are inherent of losses thanks to the many Govt policies.

They can never come out really shining unless International Oil Pricing are allowed and every kind of subsidy is removed.

Also after your taking the stock the jaipur incident happened and its not a good news for the stock.

I am sure you had your reasons to buy the stock and if they are appealing stick with the stock.

I for one cannot think outside CAIRN and ONGC and to some extent MRPL.

I took 30 shares today, the record date being tomorrow. But as such it seems to be down 50% or so?? or am i wrong in this?

OIL was always a short term stock for me .

In my earlier post i had mentioned of selling it off at 1200 , as regards to where it can go , sky is the limit but i dont want to fly with it now.

I would anyday prefer an ONGC or CAIRN depending on what oil theme you want to play.
