Share market and for that matter any market is a game of sentiments(cause for 100/-). Only those make money who keep sentiments at bay. The only problem with the company is, what I feel, it lacks good corporate governance and transparency. The day company achieve it, it will be a darling stock of the investors....

Many thanks for a constructive, defensive and realistic answer. Since their debt is very very high , of the order of more than 2000 crores , do you think that the efforts they are taking now will make a great impact soon. What made the sentiments take the price to 100/= in the beginning of this year with the same Debts?

You buy 1000 more around 17 and wait till april 2009. It will again touch 66. and then book the profit. I am also holding 1500 shares at 57. 1. Alok Industries is planning to enter the dress material for schools segment soon. 2. It may plan to demerge its infrastructure business into separate company in next 6 months. 3. At current CMP it offers a dividend yield of 6%.

Thanks for your views and msg. I also feel that Alok can give 10% dividend based on the half yearly results.
Deepak fert is a very good company and is reasonably valued at current price, no doubt about it. Your views are perfectly in order.

Yes, I am optimistic that it will declare 10% dividend post right issue. Your information about 12/- level in 2003 is correct. But I was talking of 40-80 range for the bull period 2003-08. As far as Deepak Fertiliser is concerned, I was sharing my view. I am not forcing my opinion on anybody. Rather I am advising to see the financials first. Any market is a game of sentiments. If you have idle money in the pocket you would buy baleno rather than maruti 800, without going into the milage etc. Same applies to the stock market. In the bull market people buys any stock at much higher prices without going into financials. And in the bear market, again people do not buy quality stocks at lower prices because they do not study the financials. Your comments are welcome.

You hve not responded to my query, rather, have termed me as pessimistic. Your silence on my query whether the company will announce the same dividend this year proves that you too are pessimistic otherwise, you ought to have come with an answer that the company would come out with the same dividend this year too.
While the question was on Alok Industries, u hv not responded to my query but have given yr views on Deepak Fert, though not asked for. In view of its right issue announcement, the share may rule easy, like other shares e.g. Hindalco, Tata Motors, Suzlon etc.
For yr information I too am tracking this shares since 2003 when it was quoted around 12/-. Thanks.

You seem to be a passimistic person. The world is alive on hopes. One should be realistic but not too much. I am tracking this scrip for last 5 years. Due to equity dilution every year, eps is not increasing and that`s why share price remained range bound between 40-80 levels only. Only in dec-jan it broke out temporarily to 100 level. I am very optimistic about this scrip. Let us hope for the best. Those who are searching for safer scrips I can suggest Deepak Fertiliser where I have made investments and earned a lot. I would suggest to go through the Financials of Deepak Fertiliser before taking any decision.
