Dear sriman35,
Thats good. Fund is owned then we have some peace of mind!
I do have fresh pumping on Friday and happy to hev huge kind
of profits. Calls of Nifty are 120 to 135 % up today.
Yes your was opinion and not a querry. However, unill Friday lows are not broken, Opinion shall be treated as ," backed with reality!!!!".
Take care. US and G-6 countries are trying hard to tam inflation and slow down. here analusts having stress on two things, Spending which is turmed as basic param of Economic growth. Seconf yard stick is Jobless counts!!! This can be the last month for both to come out of slugish front. Lot of encouragements are now provided on your spendings here.
secondly, Hopefully, jobless calims are likely to fall down drstically from next months. this is what analyst and economist opine....

European governments offer $2 trillion for banks
Monday October 13, 11:07 am ET
European governments separately putting nearly $2 trillion on the line to help banks
PARIS (AP) -- European governments say they are putting nearly $2 trillion on the line to protect the continent`s banks through guarantees and other emergency measures.
Pledges by Britain, Germany, France, Spain, Austria and Portugal in recent days have reached a total of $1.96 trillion. The sums are considered a maximum, and might not all be spent if the financial crisis eases.
Many of the pledges came Monday, a day after the 15 nations that use the euro currency agreed on an unprecedented bank rescue plan.
Europe`s most unified response yet to the financial crisis dwarfs the the Bush administration`s $700 billion rescue program.
The plan is helping calm markets after they dived last week. European and Asian stocks are up.

Dear Friend,
I do not want to take credit on my postings of Friday.
it were solely based on the views of Kotak Investments.
S Kotak Of Kotak Investment posted his views as under:
" WHAT LOWS FORMED ON FRIDAY MAY BE THE LOW FOR NEXT THREE MONTHS"
Now 52 week Low of SENEX IS 10239.76 formed on this Friday.
Nifty low of 52 week being 3198.95 also formed on This Friday only.
If you talk of todays, he is correct in his predictions. Time will tell how long he will stay on this Footage for correctly predicting 52 week lows. But at least today, you can not challenge him and may be , you will never get chance to challenge him so far as his NIFTY-SENSEX PREDICTUONS ARE CONCERNED.....
However, we are concerned with pin pointing the market trend for our trades. It carries very meagre maening for arguing!!!!!!!!...

Dear Friends,
In recent past we have seen diper correction in Chines market. I have studied Investment strategy of FIIS in emerging markets during last 18 Months.
CORRECTION In INDIAN MARKET MAY END FOLLOWING LEVELS OF INDICES :
Sensex : may fall to 10587
Nifty : may fall to 3177.
This is the levels we can think buying with long view. Time will tell us. We shall also look into our Economic growth data also in parity with Global cues.
Thanx,
LALIT.

I am surprised to find a lot of talks have already started like `bad days are over`,buy for LT etc etc on the very first day of mkt correction.I would like to share my views on this issue
Pl.find out to which catagory you belong
1.Investor (more than 3 years)
2.Traders ( a few months)
3 Traders ( a few days)
After selecting the stock in which you wish to invest, check its chart for 200,50 and 9 dema
Investors should get in to the scrip only when the price moves above 200 dema and stays there for few days.Similarly catagory 2 and 3 should go by 50 and 9 dema
After buying, the same levels can be kept as SL if you so desire.
Those who have a large PF,buy PEs to hedge, when the mkt goes up trim your PF to your comfort level.
Last but not the least,
When the butcher is sharpening the knife, the goat should not be thinking that he is going to cut the rope on its neck to free it but make use of that intermission to escape.
Good Luck

looking at the past performance i have again to write that supertannery is paying dividend @ 10% without any break since year 1993 when it came out with its first and last ipo at price of rs 65 per share approx 7% of equity of supertannery is lying with liquidator of CRB MUTUAL FUND which has been suspended as per my knowledge these shares were purchased by crb group post ipo between price of rs 65 to rs 250 per share as shares of supertannery post ipo went up to rs 250 per share that might have happened due to crb group only and as on date these shares are with the liquidator and they might also not be disposing these shares due to low valuations but since now supertannery has approved bonus shares at ratio 1:1 bulk quantity of shares will go to liquidator can you assess who can buy these shares and whether liquidator can sell these shares below the cost price to any one and what is the procedure whether promotors of supertannery can buy these shares from the liquidators or it will be auctioned
as per my experince history always repeat since supertannery stock splitted their shares from rs 10 to rs 2 and now declared bonus shares at ratio 1:1 the original 100 shares of rs 10 face value will become 1000 shares of rs 2 face value all these things have happened in this year of 2008 since supertannery is giving stable dividend payement @ 10% every year from next year due to bonus shares dividend yield will be minimum 20% so buying shares of supertannery at current market rate of rs 10 cum bonus will be elligible to get dividend yield of 20% in next year
i hope there may be great valuations to stock of supertannery in coming years and it can achieve its old highs
supertannery equity share capital is just 3.6 crores book value is more than rs 22 per share without revaluation of reserves and assets and doing annual turnover of more than rs 230 crores are very very plus point
in last three years before stock split shares went up to rs 85 high thrice and recently in the month of august 2008 after stock split and after announcement of bonus shares at ratio 1:1 shares prices went up to rs 16 per share so as per technical movement of share it is trying to break three years high of rs 80 to rs 85 or to achieve new target of rs 20 per share cum bonus or exbonus
since you might be the technical expert what is your view and comments...

Looking at past performances of last few years, the profit figures are only this year, earlier years the profits were dismal. The drastic increase in profit in the current year may or may not be sustainable, in future due to economic slow dowm The company is registered in UP, and The management appears to unknown and suspect and that may be reason for its low price. There are no institutional holdings in this company make it even more suspect mgt.
The business it selk is tannery -leather produsts which is generally privately held and mostly in onorgansied sector -there could chance of manipulation which needs to be investigated.
considring all these - with Inst having representaion on board of the company, it may not be good idea to investheavily in this company.
speculative investment can be done for some quick gains.

Jatt,
High level meeting between former RBI governors (yes plural) and FM.. lol... they are afraid of GREENSPAN eras clearly. LOL
Second the buzz word, LAF window has propped up in Indian finance circles.. something similar to FED WINDOW... what a laugh. The average middle class and even the poor indian has no clue there is so much turmoil around. He only accepts the sun and the moon as indicators of normalcy coz his daily life is so disrupted here in India anyway. A hungry stomach and Green Span`s mistakes just dont make mix here in India.
Then you see an Arun ramnanthan being asked to do the role of HENRY PAULSON and he is shying away from it all, never before was he asked to face media glare....so a henry paulson parallel here in India calming the investors.
Then ICICI BANK chief speaks so well ur convinced that those rumours were baseless, i know now why ICICI went places.
But to be at peace buy at least one PUT as the above are not NONEVENTS that they are disguised to be. LOL

Actually I have written "Various Custom Formulaes" in MetaStock Pro with various filters for daily / weekly / monthly and Qtrly and I was sending you the Output in Excel for easy reading !! I am still using it in a nos. of my trading systems ...
Those who have little sense will definately follow your advise as a broad guide post, even if he / she does not follow it blindly !! still they will be benefitted !!
yes, I fully agree with about UP Trend and my "personal views" are that it my last for some 8 to 12 weeks...but while Trading / Investing we always have to be prepared for "unexpected" and must have a built-in protections available for us...

BUYING TIME IS ON.
From here onwards that is from 13 Oct 2008 to 17 Oct 2008 week onwards RISK TO REWARD ratio is in favour of BULLS.
Most probable week of turning and i am just amused to see many analysts SUDDENLY realising and remembering 1929 times !
BUY ANYTHING YOU LIKED LAST YEAR, especially GEMS which are yet to SHINE.
Remember the golden rule.Buy above-sell below opn with stoploss at open.
You were the only one who had put my theory in practical by excel software.
Market will IMPROVE NOW ONWARDS TOWARDS FEBRUARY 2009, evenif and inspite of everything .
wish you profits and peace of mind,
