Selan will cross Rs. 400 in Oct 08 after its results are announced. This is a blue chip in the making/ April 09 target is Rs. 600. Pl hold the stock. Pl notice that it is now firm at Rs. 275 level, as this is an accumulation zone, where there are hardly any sellers. It will give 40% return in next 45 days....

They have 4 more oil fields.

Last year production was 120K Barrel. So long way to go for the company and management is very conservative. They are moving ahead with non-risky way for more production, meaning investing out of cash Vs. loans.

It will be excellent pick for ST and LT. More cash they will get out of opreration more they will invest for production.

And that will start from this year as New wells from FY 2008 came in to production in Q1 2009.

Per Sharekhan New update, This company has 73 Million Barrel of oil reserve in Just Bakrol oil field.

They have 4 more oil fields.

Last year production was 120K Barrel. So long way to go for the company and management is very conservative. They are moving ahead with non-risky way for more production, meaning investing out of cash Vs. loans.

It will be excellent pick for ST and LT. More cash they will get out of opreration more they will invest for production.

And that will start from this year as New wells from FY 2008 came in to production in Q1 2009.

dear senior members, i am holding selan from 80 rs.. i bought it after ashish chug recommended on cnbc 1 year ago. again he has recommended at 300 on cnbc. since oil price is coming down, should i sell at current rate of 270 or hold on. please advice.

sell if you get price about 330. and if u r long term, then hold it, it will give you good returns...

Just hold this stock till next quarter result if any one is short term trader. The expected price by October 2008 is 360/- and by March 2009 525/- Look at the financial result for the first quarter which is 12 and expected full year EPS 2008 - 2009 is arpx. 35 to 40.
hold this stock with conviction you will not be disappointed....

I am holding 150 shares of selan @ 325, but now as the share value is dipping continuously, i am unsure if I should continue holding these shares or get rid of them to stop further losses. Dear Friend,

Unfotunately you climbed on to a good stock at its all time high price. Being said that I am holding this stock from Rs 80 levels and made many exits and re-entry and made good money in the last 1 year.

Fundamentally a good company and high dependency on the crude price movements. It was trading at all time highs when crude touches all time highs...So wait for a bulling move on crude.

Again, I would say if you are ready to hold the shares for couple of years, believe me you can expect the prices to cross 550-600 levels. They are well managed group with lot of oil fields in their kitty and promises to give good returns going forward...

Now you are seeing downward movement and it will bounce back from 230-245 levels...within 4-5 days time...but it will take nearly 2-3 months to get somewhere near to your price...

Hold it atleast for 2 months. you will not only get your price but will get some profits as well. but remember to sell it off as sson as it touches 345....

Hi Guest,

Please do not worry. While it was not so clever to buy the stock at its peak in the last up-move, it will be equally un-clever to sell at this juncture.

Stock has shown strong results in the last quarter with 4 times increase in PAT over same quarter last year. It is bound to go up further after current consolidation.

Please wait to see next quarter results before you take a decision to sell. I would recommend to buy more and average when it goes below 250.

Reading thru the posts.
It is very very apparent that some few vested intrest parties are trying to trap people into buying this stock.

Why am I happy ?
Because I didnt fall for it and look where the price is now.

It will fall futher before going up.

Members please please do not go on the basis of the misleading and totally vested intrest posts.
