AAAAAAAAAAA Pal Pal dil ke paas...MD I have more than two doz records of this song. When I was in college someone used to post them to me!! I dont know who he was...but you play this song in my house and I have everyone clearing their throats and nudging each other just to bug the hell out of me.
Finally going tomorrow to vaishno devi. Its one helluva climb, but I will take the chopper....might walk back....but then again might hop in the chopper again!!
I have posted some pics of my trip on facebook so my kids can see them . but once I am back tomorrow I will post a whole lot more.
This pic loading on MMB is really sad. These guys should give the option of an album too (like in FB) and it should be left to you who can see those pics...but all that is futile thinking I guess ..when they cant even update your profile picture.
Have a nice day MD. I am off for some shopping.

What`s ur opinion on Time increase for share mkt 9 - 5. I think morning time is right we can compare with Singapur Nifty but evening time is not giving any gain . closing time 3.30 is perfect if they want to increase time then increase up to 7pm atleast we will cose with commodity mkt.

Sudarshan says every rally is a selling opportuntiy in real estate but my excel is saying REALTY SECTOR is very bullish.. what to make of this.. i was planning to go long in real estate today.. maybe i should coz he is beating it down so it may give me more
TCS is bearish
So short on TCS long in DLF would be what i would look out for.. lets see.

For those of you curious about the elite of India and from India too in the world politics, it is worthwhile to check out the White House Guest List for its State Dinner to the Indian Prime Minister Dr. MMS. This list includes Rattan Tata, Mukesh Ambani and lots and lots of names that will surorise you. It even has Deepak Chopra!. Google search for the list put out by the White House Press room....

Like Cricket in India, the Americans are obsessed with their version of football. Three decades ago, Pontiac Silverdome was built with fanfare for 53 million dollars, just so they can have football games with large attendance and TV coverage over weekends.
Well, decadence sets in various way. Not only is the auto city in ruin, the poor stadium has no buyers now. It got sold for a paltry 583,000 dollars this week....

Hi brawnym!
If we were to start a thread by the name `PRJ Ideas` the topics that I would like to discuss matters that are far removed from shares. For money, like food, is only required as much for sustenance, good grooming & education and maybe for a few small indulgences or luxuries. Beyond that, it does not get its proportionate value.
Issues closer to my heart are many. Like lifestyle adoption to deal with the pressures of modern living where I feel, the solution is to lead a `Hindu` way of life.
To solve our medical problems we have `Ayurveda`, to maintain ourselves in good physical state we have ``Hatha Yoga`, to oversome our stresses and for harmony of mind we have Meditation and Pranayama. Vegetarianism (I do favour `veganism` wherein you do not have any animal product, including milk)will aid solution to the looming food crisis as about 13 kilos of grains are consumed by most animals to produce a kilo of meat. Their consumption of these grains which are heavy on chemical fertilisers and pesticides increases the concentration of chemicals in our body when we consume animal meat.
In fact, leading a `Hindu` way of life (this can be practised by people of all religions.Hinduism, as they say, is not a religion, but `a way of life`) is the solution for mankind ahead.
Then other topics are alternate sources of energy, combating environmental pollution and global warming, empowerment and enriching of rural population.
Unluckily, I cannot talk about all these as the forum is only about investments (which is so small a issue in comparison to the much larger and wonderful issues I mentioned). Maybe one day I will begin a separate forum elsewhere for such discussions.
We will get back here to the business of making money....

Hello PRJ Sir,
I also thought he was right, the discussion was very important for me but for a third person it may not be so.
HenceI have started a new thread here.
Thanks for your support.

Portfolio risk is a function of the extent to which returns are related to one another. The portfolio risk levels will be less than the weighted average security risk levels. Diversification is most effective when the returns from the individual securities are inversely correlated or, in practice, least correlated.

--------------------------------------
DIVERSIFICATION IS KEY
Diversification is the key to safeguarding one`s future and building wealth. If you ask someone, have you diversified our investments, mostly the person would say
Yes. I have some money in Stocks, some in MF, some in bank savings. In stocks, I am DIVERSIFIED in Tech, FMCG and Real Estate.
Well, DIVERSIFICATION does not mean that. It means having a spread of ASSET CLASS - Gold, Insurance, Real Estate, Stocks, FD, etc.
This diversification depends on your age, liabilities, responsibilities and risk profile. Usually the younger one is, the heavier the investment in risky asset class such as Equities, MF and as one progresses, the ratio shifts towards DEBT instruments such as PF, FD, Bonds, etc.
So DIVERSIFY in ASSET CLASS and not just in STOCKS or MF.
Cheers
